Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of thepennystretcher.com, free accounts, our newsletter, the Pantry Price Book and other downloads, the unit price calculator, and The Stretch Plan membership. The site is operated by Rip & Ride LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Recipes, food safety and general information

Our recipes, tips, tools, downloads, emails and meal plans are general information. They are not nutrition, dietary or medical advice. Always check ingredient labels for allergens, follow safe food handling and cooking temperatures, and follow the advice of your doctor or dietitian for allergies or medical diets. We don't promise any particular grocery bill or savings; prices vary by store and region.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a purchase.

3. Free accounts

• Accounts are free. You need a verified email address and a password.
• Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account; tell us promptly if you think it's been misused.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the site.
• Account holders receive account emails (verification and password resets), plus one email when The Stretch Plan opens only if they ask for it. The newsletter is separate and optional.

4. The Stretch Plan (paid membership)

• When it opens, The Stretch Plan is a subscription billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the price shown on the plan page in US dollars, through our third-party payment provider. It renews automatically until you cancel. We'll email yearly members before each renewal.
• New members may get a free trial as shown on the plan page. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.
• Cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by our Membership and Refund Policy.
• Plans are for your household's personal use. Don't share your login or republish plans or recipes.
• We may change recipes, plan formats and features. Price changes apply from your next billing period, with at least 30 days' notice by email.

4a. Downloads and tools

The Pantry Price Book and member downloads are free for personal use. You may print and share them with your household, but not resell or republish them. The unit price calculator is provided as-is for your own use.

5. Email

We send the newsletter only to people who sign up and confirm by email, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Email and Anti-Spam Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the site to break the law, sign up other people without their permission, submit false information, interfere with the site's security or operation, scrape it in bulk, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.

7. Our content

The site's text, recipes, tools, downloads and meal plans are owned by Rip & Ride LLC and protected by copyright. You may print or save pages for personal, non-commercial use. Please link to us rather than copying our content.

8. Links to other sites

We may link to other websites, such as government and consumer protection resources. We're not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee any savings or outcome from using our recipes, tips or plans.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rip & Ride LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for illness or injury from food preparation, arising from your use of the site or its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or The Stretch Plan is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Rip & Ride LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your state of residence gives you the right to bring it where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we'll notify members by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
